Dr. Nico Botma

Orthopaedic Surgeon

I am Nico Botma, a qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon from Cape Town, South Africa. I completed my undergraduate medical training at Stellenbosch University in 2008.
From 2009 to 2017 I worked at various State and Private Hospitals, serving patients of all walks of life.

February 2017, I started my postgraduate Orthopaedic training at the University of Cape Town. I passed my MMed (Thesis) with distinction. I recently successfully completed my Orthopaedic exit examination cum laude with the South African College of Medicine.

My primary function is in a clinical capacity, caring for Orthopaedic patients.

I am a well-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. I have a strong academic foundation and easily collaborate with colleagues on complex cases.

I have a keen interest in shoulder, hip and knee arthroplasty, but also enjoy general orthopaedics (including trauma and arthroplasty), as well as Sport Injuries
